BAND QUEST FOR ALS

Dayton Team Real People hosted Band Quest for ALS in Springfield, on August 26.  The inaugural event organized by Team Captain, Mike Brooks and team, was a phenomenal success and raised an incredible $11,500 for the ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio.

An absolutely beautiful day was the back drop for bands Tomorrow’s Yesterday and One Eyed Jack.  Other activities included raffles, several 50/50 drawings, a corn hole tournament and Freddie’s Frank’s and burgers and Fat Rack’s Food Trucks.   Professional auctioneer, Todd Woodruff, hosted the exciting live auction at the end of the evening.

Perhaps the highlight of the night was a special appearance by  “Cheech Mike Marin” with a performance of Earache My Eye.

Thank you to all that helped with the event and your dedication to the cause.  Special Thanks go out to Mark and Rachae Henderson and Mike and Debbie Brooks.  We are so proud of Team Real People!

ACES FOR ALS

The Lady Tecumseh Arrows Volleyball Team recently hosted an Aces for ALS game in honor of Doris Dysinger to raise awareness and funds for Team Dysinger’s Walk to Defeat ALS team.  Mrs. Dysinger’s granddaughter Zoey is a senior on the team.

The night consisted of raffles, 50/50 drawings, t-shirts and the ice bucket challenge grand finale.  Five gallon buckets were set-up with names on them.  Participants then donated to vote on who they would like to see take the challenge.  In the end, the  coach, athletic director, dads, one mom and senior volleyball players raised enough funds for everyone to participate in the icy challenge.

The amazing night brought in an amazing $3,024.00!!  Thank you to everyone involved!
