You may have heard about the Ice Bucket Challenge trend that is quite literally “soaking” the nation through social media. Everyone from Ethel Kennedy to Justin Timberlake to Jack Hanna has poured a bucket of ice water over his or her head and challenged others do the same or make a donation to fight ALS within twenty-four hours.
The challenge is rolling through the Central & Southern Ohio Chapter, with board members, staff, volunteers, walkers and team captains all taking the “icy” challenge in an effort to raise awareness and funds for ALS.
So far, we have coordinated interviews on TV and radio in Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton with more scheduled in the next few days. And there are countless videos made by local supporters posted on Facebook.

The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter is incredibly grateful for the "outpouring" of support from everyone who has been involved in the Ice Bucket Challenge. It has been an incredible boost to our efforts to raise awareness of ALS throughout our community.

Great things are happening at the OhioHealth ALS Clinic. The clinic was recently accepted as a member of the NorthEast ALS Consortium (NEALS). NEALS functions as an academic research consortium, a contracted research organization, and a resource tool for ALS community.
