Each year, The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter holds several fundraising events to raise awareness and funds that help provide invaluable services to people living with ALS.

From The Walk to Defeat ALS®, auctions and social gatherings each event raises funds and increases awareness to help The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter with our patient services program and fund global cutting-edge research. Come join the fun and help make a difference!

Legs for Lou Gehrig's Disease Team - Flying Pig Marathon
Pigs are Flying to Fight ALS in Cincinnati on Saturday, May 2, 2009 and Sunday, May 3 2009!

ALS Awareness Day
The ALS Association Central & Southern Ohio Chapter, along with the Cincinnati Reds will host the annual ALS Awareness Day on Sunday, July 19, 2009 pre game ceremonies begin at 12:00 PM, game starts at 1:10 PM at The Great American Ball Park. Complimentary tickets are available in the Party Deck for PALS (person(s) with ALS) and 1 guest. (Wheelchair accessible)

Walk to Defeat ALS®
The Walk to Defeat ALS brings people and communities together, educates them about ALS, and most importantly, raises the funds that help provide support services for people living with ALS and research into the cause, cure and treatment of ALS.  Walking is a great, visible way to tell others that you support the fight against ALS.  Join the fun and get in step. Registration begins March 1, 2009!
Sunday, September 20, 2009 - Dayton Walk
Sunday, September 27, 2009 - Columbus Walk
Sunday, October 4, 2009 - Cincinnati Walk

Registration for all Walks is 10:00 AM, Walk begins at 11:00 AM
 

Community Partner Events
A "Community Partner" fundraising event is defined by The ALS Association as any fund-raising conducted by an individual or group where The ALS Association has no fiduciary responsibilities and little or no staff involvement. Please note that in order to endorse an event, The ALS Association requires that all community partner organizers submit a completed Community Partner Event Request Form before initiating any activity.
