TEAM HARDESTY,
Wow!! Our 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 teams were absolutely awesome! We came in first in the number of walkers and second overall in the total raised by a single team in 2016. In 2017, 2018, and 2019 we were near the top in each category again. 2020 was a virtual walk and you all stepped up and donated generously to the ALS Association. I tear up every time I reminisce about all the years! I'm so blessed to have such an amazing group of family and friends!
This year, thanks again to Covid - 19, and out of an abundance of caution to those of us living with ALS, the walk will be done in individual's home towns! Team Hardesty is planning a walk at Emory Adams Park in Findlay on September 26 at 10:00 a.m. Please join us!
There is still no cure! So, I will walk to advocate for ALS and to help raise money for research. I hold on to HOPE for a cure!
Thank you for helping us reach our fund raising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatment and a cure. Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.

Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones between $16,000 up to $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join our walk today.
