Doris Dysinger’s fight against ALS ended on August 15, 2018. She was surrounded by family and love. Doris did not lose the fight against ALS! ALS stole her body, but never took her love and spirit! Doris showed us all a tremendous way to carry ourselves through very difficult adversity. Team Dysinger fights ALS to honor and in memory of Doris Dysinger and all other PALS that are in this fight! #DefeatALS
Thank you, Thank you to all of Team Dysinger!!! In 2016-2017, Team Dysinger raised approximately $35,000 for the ALS Association to help fund local Care Services, and R&D to develop improved treatments and eventually find a cure!
If you are reading, you are probably aware of the ALS diagnosis Doris Dysinger received in August 2015. With that, those who know Doris know that she hasn’t let this bring her down. She is taking each day in stride with a smile on her face and living to enjoy each moment that she is given. She has a miraculous strength. At the age of 23, Doris was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis while pregnant with her second child. Even then, she was determined to not let it change the way she was going to live her life. She pushed through the pain every day and was determined to give all three of her boys a great childhood and quality life. Family has always been a huge priority to Doris.
In support of Doris, we formed Team Dysinger to participate in the “Walk to Defeat ALS” awareness and fundraising event. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Team Dysinger is committed to raising money and awareness to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find better treatments and a cure. Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.
